Our thoughts, feelings, and actions are deeply interconnected. When we experience stress, anxiety, or low moods, it’s common for our minds to fall into patterns such as self-criticism, worst-case thinking, or feeling inadequate. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy can help you recognize these patterns and gently shift them towards a more balanced and authentic perspective.
In our work together, I utilize CBT as a practical, collaborative tool combined with Mindfulness Therapy. We’ll delve into the narratives you create, develop skills for managing anxiety and low mood, and implement small, meaningful changes that align with your goals. For clients navigating ADHD, parenthood, or a demanding job, this may include strategies for organization, setting boundaries, and establishing realistic expectations.
I integrate CBT with mindfulness and a strengths-based approach, ensuring that this process is never about "fixing" you. Instead, it’s about fostering a deeper understanding of yourself with compassion, helping you feel more empowered to face whatever life presents.
Many people experience intrusive thoughts that can feel frightening, confusing, or completely out of character. You might find yourself checking, avoiding, seeking reassurance, or replaying thoughts to feel safe. These patterns are more common than most realize and are highly treatable through methods like Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy.
This evidence-based approach for OCD and anxiety helps individuals gradually and gently confront the thoughts and situations that trigger fear. Alongside this, I integrate Mindfulness Therapy, combining mindfulness and breathwork, to help you stay grounded and build confidence in your ability to handle uncertainty, all while moving at your pace with compassion and care.
Our bodies often hold what our minds haven't yet found words for. Stress, anxiety, and life's big transitions can manifest as tension, restlessness, shallow breathing, or a sense of disconnection from ourselves. Mindfulness Therapy and somatic therapy gently bring the body back into the conversation.
In our work together, I may integrate breathwork, grounding practices, and gentle yoga-based movement alongside Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy. These tools help you notice what's happening in the present moment, without judgment, and foster a greater sense of safety and steadiness from within. Over time, you'll learn to recognize your body's signals, calm your nervous system when feeling overwhelmed, and respond to life with more ease and intention.
No prior experience with meditation or yoga is needed. We'll move at your pace and discover what feels supportive for you.
